Traveling is viewed as multiple commodities in the eyes of a person, a job, a vacation, a learning experience. The idea of traveling has changed throughout many millennia, traveling has never changed its purposes depending on what it may be. In today’s logic traveling is viewed as a vacation, or a job, an objective in that journey, and that has not changed throughout human history. In this case of traveling, it creates this norm that everyone should travel. This norm has not changed whatsoever throughout and is actually preferred that you travel.  Traveling outside the country is an essential experience that should happen in a person’s lifetime, it fabricates and amplifies this notion of sonder and empathy that a person should undergo.

Traveling outside of the country produces a different mindset of how people suffice everyday and how discrete their lifestyle truly is. The understanding behind the idea that it truly shows how discrete a person’s lifestyle is overseas is how they do everyday things that may differ from one’s normal lifestyle. Coming from personal experience in 2015 I went to Iraq to meet my father’s extended family and it felt completely different. To go into depth they made their own bread instead of buying it. They had to wait to get water, they would get purified water from a truck that came every morning. It truly shows how destructive their lifestyle is, in America you can simply get water out of the tap and bread from the nearest store. Traveling gives this perspective that can lead to thinking differently and really questioning what is important. Another example is how different laws and regulations there are. I recall asking my aunt if I could go to the park with her since I thought it would be dangerous to go by myself and she responded saying that children always go by themselves because of how safe it is. The freedom given with the absence of danger has the sensation that differs from the original outlook on safety and culture.

This insight is a doorway to get out of one’s comfort zone and establish an idea of cultural fluency. Having to exit one’s comfort zone is something that everyone should establish with themselves and traveling truly expresses the departure of the comfort and causing new experiences to be established. Leaving the comfort zone creates the base for cultural fluency in understanding other cultures and lifestyles and gives this new frame of mind that establishes relationships and bonds between people and people coming together. In my experience of coming out of my comfort zone when I went to Mexico and meeting my mother’s extended family, my mother told me that I would be obliged to respect them and treat them as family I have known for years and trust was something I was not very strong with. I ended up doing what my mother had asked me for and ending up understanding the way of life since opening up to them led to me learning multiple things about family history, different foods, norms, etc. Leaving my comfort zone led me to experience new things and create strong bonds and gave me a true idea of how culture differentiates. A second idea would be when I had to assist my family in Mexico and we went on a long hike guiding cows so that they could consume salt that they needed in their digestive systems. I ended up having this new way of seeing how life was like and the difference is truly it was, because these people make money off this and it gives this worldstyle for money and it truly makes you reconsider life values of what is important and what isn’t.

Traveling defines an aspect of creativity that has not been inspired; traveling creates new ideas. The aspect of creativity extends when someone gets an idea, the world is a big place and people get ideas each and every single day. Traveling allows that idea to be established in the minds of others. In my sister Sarah’s case when she went to Iraq she truly experienced the difference in gender roles and got an idea of how distinctive it truly was. She ended up framing a photo showing the difference of the two different perspectives. Her artwork ended up going around the entire world in museums and she ended up winning a scholastic award from that photo. Traveling had a massive effect on her and she ended up creating something beautiful from it and made an impact with the photo she published. One example would be in everyday life, if the majority of people never traveled we would not possess the luxuries that we maintain today in food, transportation, technology, education, and so on is so fourth. Traveling has the baseline that creates innovations to come to reality and inspire to create helpful, and massive changes to the world that people take for granted.

In this sense, traveling is viewed as an outlet to many different things, with the exchange of learning something out of it. The main idea that it contributes is the amount of influence it can have on a person in places that are unimaginable. Traveling is this symphony of unforgettable lesions and impacts that leave you with an experience of someone who has learned and inspired to one day come back. Traveling has not changed because of how much of an impact it has. It is viewed in multiple different ways but leaves the same impact giving the notion that everyone should travel. Those who have traveled face true reality in a new perspective, therefore the idea of traveling is strong and is something that every human being should do.
