Challenges

Serena Williams faced many challenges, such as her right-elbow injury. This caused her to withdraw from the Swedish Open and Rome. Something else that she faced was the many younger tennis players rising to the top of the leaderboards such as Mugurza, Madison Keys, Belinda Bencic, and Eugenie Bouchard. Another one was that she was really pressured during the Wimbledon final which caused her to make three double faults. She helped this by reminding herself of Billie Jean King's quote, “Pressure is privilege.” Lastly, because of her being famous, she got lots of online attention, which made her really worn out mentally.
