The effects of human-caused global warming are happening now, are irreversible on the timescale of people alive today, and will worsen in the decades to come. It is extremely likely that human influence has been the dominant cause of the observed warming since the mid-20th century. Such as people driving there cars or mowing your lawn or something simple such as your heater in your house. the report concludes. “For the warming over the last century, there is no convincing alternative explanation supported by the extent of the observational evidence.” Thousands of studies outlined in the report document rising surface, atmospheric, and oceanic temperatures; melting glaciers; diminishing snow cover; shrinking sea ice; rising sea levels; ocean acidification; and increasing intensity and frequency of rainfall, hurricanes, heat waves, wildfires, and drought. Wildfires are also an increasing menace in Alaska, with three out of the top four fire years in terms of acres burned occurring since 2000. The state’s residents are grappling with a rapidly changing environment that is harming their health, their supply of food and livelihoods.

As is the case on many climate change questions, perceptions of climate change effects in one’s local community are closely tied with political party affiliation. “About eight-in-ten Democrats (82%, including those who lean to the Democratic Party) say climate change is affecting their local community at least some, while about half as many Republicans say this (38%, including leaners).” Even higher up people are starting to notice a big impact of climate change in the untied states. “But politics is not the only factor related to these views. Americans’ beliefs about the overall effect of climate change on their local community vary by geographic region. Around seven-in-ten Americans living in the Pacific region (72% in California, Washington, Oregon, Hawaii and Alaska) report at least some effect of climate change in their local community.” It’s not just politics that are seeing a change in there communities just regular cavillions are seeing the affects of it. You could seeing the affects right now and not even know it such as gas prices going up slowly because of natural gas being burned by the heat of climate change.

Some people think climate change isn't real or to not take it soursly. Only because they don't feel the affects of climate change. Ignoring climate change in the short term has benefits both to individuals and to organizations. Individuals do not have to make changes in the cars they drive, the products they buy, or the homes they live in if they ignore the influence their carbon footprint has on the world. Everyone leaves a carbon footprint weather its your car your AC unit or even just watching tv.

America is being critically affected by climate change. Everyone needs to change what there doing and it’s not to late but if we keep doing what we doing we will not have as much stuff as we have now such as gas. America is being severely affected by climate change. But it’s not just America that is being affected it the whole world.
