Education is one of civilization's greatest main essentials because it is important for the growth of our society. Students learn more than just reading and writing; they also learn how to operate in society and be successful in life. With today's increasing complexity in education, it is seen as a starting point of developing stress and anxiety in many students. Everyone experiences stress and each person develops their unique stress management skills. Students, particularly teens, are seen to deal with stress, and most of the time, they perceive stress negatively and are unable to deal with it.

High levels of stress often cause students to develop physical symptoms that can have a severe and negative influence on academic performance. Peak factors of academic stress include taking and studying for tests, grade pressure, and having a huge material to cover in a short period of time (Stress Management and Teens, 2019). As a result of experiencing high amounts of stress, a student may become disoriented and uncertain of their goals and aspirations. Students may no longer feel motivated to perform their best in academic tasks such as completing homework or preparing for tests. Furthermore, the symptoms are harmful to students' health, which may cause their academic successes to suffer.

This could further interfere with their ability to manage and meet their goals properly. Furthermore, stressed-out students have a tendency to procrastinate and abandon important responsibilities such as meeting deadlines and finishing projects/assignments. As previously stated, high amounts of stress can cause a variety of issues, but there are some methods of preventing this.

When it comes to trying to fight back stress, it is very vital in people's lives in order to live a fulfilling lifestyle, maintain strong relationships, and avoid negative health consequences (Understanding the stress response, 2020). There are several approaches to deal with stress. Learning how to manage your time, as per Elizabeth Scott (March 27, 2020), can help alleviate stress. If you want to do well in your studies, you should give yourself plenty of time to focus on them, and you can spare yourself a lot of stress if you plan ahead of time. Setting up a study schedule/routine, dividing down your studies into smaller portions, and other time management skills are necessary. By breaking a major activity into smaller pieces, you can gradually work towards a bigger objective without feeling overwhelmed.

Another approach is to seek more sleep, as sleep and stress are closely linked (Jon Johnson, 2018). Sleep deprivation can result in a bad mood, low energy, problems concentrating, a general inability to perform normally, and, of course, stress. The lack of sleep and durability are frequently influenced by stress as well. Stress and a lack of sleep can both have serious consequences for physical and mental health, therefore experts recommend that people aim for 7–9 hours of sleep per night, depending on their age and other considerations; the younger you are, the more sleep you need.

The last approach I will be covering is joining support groups. Support and self-help groups meet regularly and bring together people who are going through similar challenges or life transitions to provide each other support and encouragement. Participants discuss advice and support because people in a support group strengthen and empower themselves by assisting others. Participation in support groups can provide emotional support, which can help reduce stress and improve health (Support groups: How do they help, 2008). Furthermore, people may benefit significantly from the knowledge sharing that occurs in a support group. They may learn how to manage their symptoms, acquire stronger coping skills, and communicate with their doctors more successfully. Partners, friends, and family members may learn how to be more sympathetic and supportive of their chronically ill loved ones by joining support groups. All of these advantages may help reduce stress and improve recovery over time.

Stress has serious harmful impacts on students, both physically and academically. Students require sufficient sleep, more support, and less stress for their brains to relax and recharge in order for them to perform effectively. As a result, parents and teachers should engage to ensure that students do not feel a severe amount of pressure and stress because it is harmful to their health and academic performance. You can't avoid stress in your daily life, but you can enhance your understanding and awareness of it, and therefore learn to handle it well. As a result, by using these techniques on a regular basis, you can strengthen your resistance and heal yourself.
