Connor Mcdavid is a Canadian Ice hockey player who plays center. He is a  huge legend and a professional hockey player and a top lead scorer. He currently plays in the NHL (National Hockey League) and play’s for the Edmonton Oilers as the captain. He is a stunning hockey player with awesome skills even in his childhood when he was young. He’s won many awards and achieved some impossible things; he's played for many league’s throughout his childhood and now playing for the NHL.

Birth and family

Connor Mcdavid was born in Richmond Hill on January 13, 1997 (currently 25 years old) He grew up in the Toronto area and started playing hockey there. He started playing hockey at the young age of 3, the minimum age for hockey is 5 but they’re parent’s lied just to get Mcdavid to play! He has a great and awesome family: a twin brother Cameron, his lovely father Brian, and his encouraging mother Kelly and of course his love Lauren Kyle (His girlfriend).

Young age of hockey

At the age of 6 Connor Mcdavid’s parents enrolled him in a team with 9 year olds! He then started playing with OMHA and was outstanding playing with his team York-simcoe Express. He was an astounding and stunning player at a young age and went on to win 4 Ontario Minor Hockey Association championships. He was an amazing player for that age and had many young achievements.

TEENAGER AGE ACHIEVEMENTS

He started playing for GTHL in bantam and was very impressive with a surprising amount of 209 points and was named “Player of the Year” by GTHL. He was granted Exceptional player by hockey canada, because of his outstanding skills he was able to even play for the Erie Otters in the OHL and was given the award “Jack Ferguson Award” at the age of 15 even though the minimum age was 16, he was so fantastic in OHL that he was named OHL second all star team! He even got  OHL Rookie of the Month TWICE! He was even named Captain for the Erie Otters and performed amazingly until he got injured that forced him to be out for 6 weeks. He ended his OHL career with 120 points and even received the Red Tilson Trophy! He was also named CHL player of the year for his awesome performance.

EDUCATION & SCHOOLS

He went to high-school at Mcdowell Senior High School in Pennsylvania, a suburb of Erie. He then considered attending Boston University to play for the hockey team but instead of that he decided to play in the ohl to develop his skills at hockey and get even better! 

PROFESSIONAL CAREER and injuries

In 2015 he started his professional career and was drafted FIRST overall in the NHL Entry Draft in 2015 by the Edmonton Oilers! (Can you believe he was drafted FIRST overall?) He started off and signed a three year entry contract. Later on into the season his performance was awesome until he broke his clavicle and missed out on 37 GAMES! He made his return and even got a goal and 2 assists against CBJ (Columbus Blue Jackets) he even recorded his first 5 point’s against the Toronto Maple Leafs! In the 2016-2017 he helped his team get into the playoffs and was one of the fastest active players to reach 100 points! He loved playing with the Edmonton oilers and even signed a 8 year extension contract with the Oilers for 100 million dollars! He was voted 3rd for the Calder Memorial Trophy and named NHL’s “Rookie of the Year.”

INTERNATIONAL HOCKEY CAREEr

Connor Mcdavid was one of the youngest players on the Canadian -18 team at the 2013 IIHF world U18 championships. He did insanely well and even scored a hat-trick against Sweden and helped his team to a goal medal win! Even though they were fourth at the 2014 World Junior Championships Connor Mcdavid still managed to lead his team to a 2015 and 2016 Gold medal wins! He was named the Captain of the Canadian team which is very impressive for Connor Mcdavid. 

PROFESSIONAL HOCKEY ACHIEVEMENTS 

Due to Connor Mcdavid’s awesome performance  he has won many awards and achieved many impossible things in his NHL career. As Mcdavid a top lead scorer he has won 3 Art Ross Trophies. That's insane!
