A movie with three endings is better than one; especially one based on a board game. The movie, Clue was made in 1985 starring Tim Curry. It entails six party guests being blackmailed when the host gets mysteriously murdered. Unfortunately, not many people have seen this phenomenal film. Everyone must watch the movie Clue to get an existing and shocking film experience.

Admittedly, people have described the movie as being too complicated or confusing for children. But, Clue is the best movie adaptation of a board game. It was given a rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars by audiences. The game Clue uses different locations, weapons, and characters to create a thrilling mystery for players. The movie Clue creates the same mystery feel by making everyone a suspect. It's only at the end when the killer is revealed. So, when watching the movie viewers use the same detective-like skills to determine the killer. With other adaptations of games, directors have to manipulate the story, losing plenty of creative value. However, Clue sticks with the same background story and tone, staying true to the inspiration.

Additionally, Clue inspires viewers to play more strategy games along with problem-solving. A study from the University of Electronic Science and Technology concluded that “players of real-time strategy games have faster information processing, allocate more cognitive power to individual visual stimuli, and allocate limited cognitive resources between successive stimuli more effectively through time.” The movie and board game go hand in hand, and the more people watch the movie the more people play the game. Clue stimulates the minds of players while having fun. Playing and watching the movie with friends and family brings people together while learning problem-solving skills, and who would not like to spend time with loved ones.

Furthermore, Clue offers something that no other movie has, multiple endings. How Clue initially got famous is its three unique endings that were shown in different theaters. When going to see the movie in theaters, audience members often did not know what they were going to get, adding a sense of excitement and suspense. When being sold on DVD all three endings were included which the viewer could choose from. Part of the reason Clue grossed about $15 million was Tim Curry's outstanding performance as Wadsworth. This movie had an amazing cast and production value that everyone should watch this cult classic.

In conclusion, Clue is a captivating film with an interesting story behind it. With it being inspired by a board game it makes it a great family-friendly pick. Everyone must watch this classic whodunit film for its creative value and mystery elements.
