By majoring in information systems, I will become an expert with the knowledge and ability to create meaningful and positive change.

As a kid, I always thought hackers could only do bad things. Then, being a mischievous kid, I learnt how to use tools to modify the software in devices to enhance their capabilities. That was when I realised I was wrong.

During Secondary school, I had a friend that bricked his phone due to an update error that caused her phone to be unusable. I brought the broken phone back to life and even enhanced it by flashing a custom ROM containing the latest android update unavailable to that model.

When I went to Polytechnic, I topped my C programming class and achieved distinction. Then, when I went for the internship, I taught myself C# to improve a production line tracking software for packaging. 

After serving national service, I have been helping my friends with programming in university or their business. With my ability to quickly grasp complex ideas and problems and develop solutions, I coded complex machine learning algorithms in C. I also taught myself Python, HTML, CSS, JS and dabbled with NoSQL and R code.

These experiences made me realise my potential and sparked my desire to use data and programming to take businesses to the next level. My ability to work with different personalities allows me to get results fast. It pushed me to become a tech lead responsible for web development in my startup team. In addition, I value organisation and attention to detail, a trait that I believe is very important for tech leads.
